Green lentil kichri Is a combination of rice with lentil ,cooked with seasoning .As with bhagar of crispy onion in clarified butter enhance taste of Green lentil kichri taste.Green lentil kichri is a traditional Indian dish .Green lentil kichri Is a low fat dish .Green lentil kichri Is also used as a side dish or low calorie food.

  1. First soak rice n green lentil together for 1 to 2 hours.
  2. In a pan add soaked wash lentil n rice ,salt ,turmeric powder ,red chilli powder n whole all spice. Add 5 to 6 cup water . Cover n allow to cook on low flame till get tender .while cooking occasionally stir the spoon.
  3. Add extra water if required .cook till get desire thickness .
  4. At last add bhagar on top. Heat ghee ( clearified butter) add sliced onion fry till light golden . Transfer in cooked kichri . Serve hot
  5. Serve with onion rings Mint raitta n garlic chilli chutney.
